Orientation Extended

Take the Challenge
We can't possibly cover all the things you need to know to be successful at CUA during Orientation. That is why we have Orientation Extended (Ox). Orientation Extended offers you a variety of programs to help you with this transition.
Dear First-Year Student,
Congratulations and welcome to CUA! Orientation is quickly approaching and before you know it you will have the first four days behind you and your first year will be well underway. The transition to college can have its highs and lows. The first six weeks are particularly important in this transition.
To help make your transition and your first year successful we have Orientation Extended. During Ox you will be exposed to the many resources and outlets that our university has to offer, while meeting new people and learning about yourself. It is truly an amazing program that we encourage all first-year students to take part in because we know how beneficial it will be for you.
As students of CUA, we have gone through the transition to college and have made our time here successful. Part of our success is a result of all of the workshops, leadership opportunities and social activities that we have been involved in since our first year. Many of these opportunities begin during Orientation Extended and the first six weeks. Through the Ox programs you will learn about campus resources and the university; meet countless faculty, administrators, staff members and student leaders; and attend multiple social activities. All of these interactions could be stepping stones to a job, internship, leadership position or recommendation.
We challenge you to use Orientation Extended as your outlet to get involved on CUA's campus and make the university your home away from home.
We look forward to seeing you on Aug. 27. Be prepared to take the challenge!
